espresso: (re-ment)
[personal profile] espresso

Something finally came in the mail, but it wasn't what I was expecting.

I bought this particular set from the Puchi Drug Store series because I thought a gauze mask would be a fun item to have. Then I opened the box and saw that the mask looked like...

You have to be kidding me, Re-Ment. Then again I might be expecting too much from them.

Everything is supposed to -- but does not -- fit in the first aid kit, which is the mini ambulance you see up there. Compared to the medicine cabinet, it looks like an oversized toy. I don't think I'll be using it much.

And obviously, I had to make my own mask. This one was cut out of a real disposable gauze mask. I think it looks good on him.

Then I got carried away and made a futon using packing foam, paper scraps, and for a blanket, a nice paper napkin.

Then I tucked him into bed and he looked so hilarious in it that every shot I took from this point on was blurry because I was laughing too much.

Actual review. #7 from the Obaachan-chi set comes with a medicine cabinet and an assortment of remedies that look n years past their expiration date. Some of them are cures for old(er) people's ailments.

It also comes with porridge in a crockpot, and a smaller bowl with a steel grater for the apple. I don't get the concept of grating apple. The hot water pillow on top of Sensei's head (two shots above) is also included.

#5 of the Puchi Drug Store set has four types of common medicine. The aspirin is cute. The digital thermometer slips out of its own case, and the boxes don't collapse as much because they're made of thicker stock than the boxes in the Obaachan set. I thought this was pretty cool.

Get well soon.

The one thing I like about Re-Ment is how you can get things from random sets and put them together to make them work. I also like reading the miniscule print on the boxes because the copy is usually funny.

Looks like I need to buy a set from Family Restaurant or some other series that comes with a glass of cold water.

One down, two to go. I really hope I didn't lose anything in the mail again.

Too many dishes, no storage.
We really need that kitchen rack!
