I didn't make the ganache; I just rolled bits of it in matcha. And I still have some powder left over. As is always the case with gorging on good things: I think I'll lay off matcha for a while.

P.S. On the figures side: I officially lost two packages in the mail, so that's exactly four sets of minis.

Should've reduced the milk.

I saw a cute photo of toast with egg in the middle and wanted to do something like that, but I didn't have a round cutter, and the jar lid I used just squished the muffin in the middle. Meh.

Also, I've started a short photo project inspired by the 365 Toys project at Flickr. There's someone who's been taking one photo a day of her nendoroid Sebastian Michaelis, which is so adorable. I thought I'd do a mini version of that project, thus: L 20 (at Tumblr). I haven't really used L that much since I got him, so maybe this'll be a good time to start.

Actually it didn't taste like a disaster at all, even with all the improvisations I did.
The blender throwing up a hefty amount of it all over my arm was a disaster though.
Hot soup = ouch.

I got him a wall clock. You have to look at it closely to see it's a Hello Kitty vintage clock. It's from the Sanrio Vintage Mini 3 series.
There's also a Tuxedo Sam electric fan which is huge but cute. I'm saving it for summer.

Awesome. I doubt if it's to scale though (not to mention it's very rare). The other discovery of the afternoon is that Playset B comes with an alternate nendoroid hand for gripping objects. I only found out when I randomly browsed the Phat Company blog. No wonder Playset B sold out first on HLJ! I was already content with having just one room but now I'm thinking that if I have the other half, not only will I have the much needed appendage (...), I'll also have an easier time taking pictures of the setting without having to avoid angles that show where the wall cuts off.

This is getting ridiculous.

Today's mishap: overly thin pancake batter, which I turned into faux crepes with strawberry jam filling. Luckily the jam was tart so the whole thing wasn't overly sweet.

Made hotcakes for breakfast.
Put a bit of strawberry syrup* on mine.
It's been raining all day, perfect tea weather!
Unfortunately, I don't have tea left. /sobs

Made myself curry.
I thought it turned out nicely, though I might have overdone the ginger.

Matcha smoothie made by randomly pushing buttons on the blender.
One step closer to world domination, this.
