Today I got these in the mail. I'll be getting literally cartons of eggs in a few months, but now I think I can do with these just fine. There is also one small bottle of vanilla extract that I forgot to add. The whisk is a good choice, but I also got an electric handheld mixer just in case.

Actually I think I have everything covered except that I don't have an oven.

There have been quite a lot of additions to the stash, mostly outdoorsy stuff. I've been hunting for green felt for a backdrop but couldn't find a nice shade to work with.

Another shot of mine made it to the GSC Mikatan blog. It's the eighth shot from the top.

And that's it from us this year!
Happy Christmas everyone. Stay warm.

I got him a wall clock. You have to look at it closely to see it's a Hello Kitty vintage clock. It's from the Sanrio Vintage Mini 3 series.
There's also a Tuxedo Sam electric fan which is huge but cute. I'm saving it for summer.

If Wikipedia's to be trusted, today is Itoshiki Nozomu's birthday. It also happens to be my birthday as well, which gives me -- or us? -- a very good reason to crack open a box from Re-Ment's Mini Sweets series.

The second floor doesn't look too stable, but I kind of like this layout. You can actually stick a light up that ceiling. Hmmmm.

The furniture finally arrived.
Major scale discrepancy problems, but it doesn't look bad if you choose the pieces.

I thought I could make half a room work, but it looks like I need to get the other half.

Last week, I had the chance to take a closer look at (and giddily take several shots of) a nendoroid Yagami Light.
It's even cuter than I thought it'd be!

The stand comes with two separate plastic clasps that can fit around the waist snugly or can be moved to accommodate an arm or two. It's a nifty idea, but it still doesn't provide enough support for the head, which is huge. It's interesting to note the differences between an early nendoroid and a later release, particularly when it comes to the casting and the paint job. You can clearly see how they went overboard with the orange tint in the old days.

Light has three alternate faces, one of which is this face, which suddenly made me want a nendoroid Light myself.
I-It's so cute.
(Though, for the record, the only other nendoroid I really wanted was L.)

Unknown person riffling through medicine box.

Suspicious-looking stomach medicine. Not recommended.

There are a few things I have yet to get in the mail (drat). I got hold of a television set, among other things. Very exciting.

There's a possibility that Phat Company will be coming up with more playsets with the same theme, seeing as they've already made a music room to match the previously released classroom playset. So, what's next for the Japanese house: kitchen? Bathroom? I want a bedroom with a non-plastic futon. Or a porch with steps leading to a small garden with a pond.

Sets from different series that I'm too lazy to list down at the moment.
I suck at shooting in artificial light.

...a shot of yours makes it to the Good Smile Company Mikatan blog! Just scroll down to the part sent in by サクラ (if you've seen the playset post you'll know which one it is).

I wasn't going to buy this, really. I already had plans for a room made to scale, with tatami mats and everything, and had all the measurements and the materials ready, until one day I looked at everything and said, I'm not making this.

My box came in two days.

The next day I sold my only Re-Ment to someone who collects miniature food. I have replacements on the way; I just hope they don't get lost in the mail.

The only thing keeping me from preordering this is the fact that he can't sit down. Technically he can, but only if I remove his hakama and have him sit down in his underwear at the table, which would be very embarrassing. So I'm thinking maybe I can have him "sit" at the table instead, but I think the table might be too low for camouflage. It might work if I remove his stand, but he's not stable without the stand, and I don't think that cushion's going to be very helpful.

I'm very serious about this. Hmm hmm. I'm also wondering which appliance to get first -- a vacuum cleaner or a coffeemaker?
