happy birthday to us!

Re-Ment has a lot of series with birthday cake in it, but I chose this particular one because of the volume. I usually don't look at Re-Ment US series because of the scale, but for things like this, big is better.

Some people like throwing birthday parties, but I don't care much for parties myself. Sensei takes after me in that regard.
Actually he's wondering who the hell these people are.

The birthday cake is very girly and has five candles on it for some reason.

It is also precut! Despair.

The balloons are cute. They come on sticks that you prop up inside the opened gift.

Fwoooo.

This set isn't bad, but I'd like to get a smaller birthday cake next time. The cake series on sale later this year has a birthday cake. There's also a cute birthday cake in the last Hello Kitty series they released, but Hello Kitty cake is...

The leftover cake won't fit in the ref. Despair.

For his birthday, I got him

I couldn't find a way to make him hold them without making him look like he's smelling them.

The alcove looks a lot better with books! Must make more of them.

Ingenious En also made me paper bags. It pays to be neighbors with geniuses.

I'll leave them like that for the rest of the day.
Happy birthday, sensei! Getting you was probably the smartest thing I did this year. You make me feel a lot better about turning old(er), too. Hahaha.

See you around.

My favorite shot is the leftover cake not fitting in the fridge. LOL!

Date: 2009-11-05 06:44 am (UTC)I'm all thumbs when it comes to 3D, but fortunately I know someone who loves making miniature stuff. She was also the one who made the small carton boxes. I can never come up with that on my own; I'm too lazy!
