As for scale... Hmm. It's a little tricky. For figmas, the food and accessories are (mostly) fine, but when it comes to furniture, the scale is off.
And yeah, the joints are rather ugly. I think Revoltech does a better job of hiding those, not really sure about that. I wasn't supposed to get a nendoroid; I'd gotten Kyon first and was supposed to stick to that, but after I'd gotten sensei I completely forgot about Kyon. Nendoroids really are cuter. I'd love to get an L, but not only is he rare these days, he's being sold at ridiculous prices by the stores who still have him in stock.
