I wasn't going to buy this, really. I already had plans for a room made to scale, with tatami mats and everything, and had all the measurements and the materials ready, until one day I looked at everything and said, I'm not making this.
My box came in two days.

The box was bigger and slightly heavier than I expected.

I'm not sure what the alpaca calendar is for.

Assembly was pretty easy.

Unfortunately, I think I fit the corners the wrong way, so I lacked the space for the cabinet. I had to keep it away from the sliding door and not in the corner where it's supposed to be.

YES HE FITS IN PERFECTLY.

The detail in the bear carving is quite nice.

Sensei gets first dibs on the cushion, which is plastic (I was hoping it wouldn't be).

I have very few Re-Ment, but it's just as well, because the table is so small that you can easily make it look like it's teeming over with stuff. In this case, uh...'happy moving in' party food.

The guest is a small Wall-E figure I rescued from a toy store that same afternoon.

Wall-E is a very handy robot to have around.

So let's try the default playset meal, which is rice, miso, and fish.

The room feels lonely, somehow.

Goodbye for now.
I'm getting urges to sew a futon and a pillow. Dammit. <-- can't sew
The next day I sold my only Re-Ment to someone who collects miniature food. I have replacements on the way; I just hope they don't get lost in the mail.
